Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. I can't log in / It says my username or password is incorrect

● Verify that you're using the correct username and password provided by your school
● Make sure there are no spaces at the beginning or end when entering your credentials
● Verify you're on the correct site: https://web.pathbooks.app/login
● If the problem persists, contact your teacher or click here to contact Pathbooks technical support

2. I read a book, but it doesn't appear in my progress / reading goal

Common causes:
Incorrect language: If the reading goal is in English, you must have the app in English before reading. The same applies for Spanish.
Reading without connection: If you downloaded the book and read it completely offline, you need to open the app with internet so it can sync the progress of the books.
Book outside the goal: Only specific books included in the assigned reading goal count.

3. The quiz doesn't appear when I finish a book

Common causes:
The book doesn't have a quiz yet: You need to check the book details to verify that the book has the following legend highlighted in orange "Finish the reading to take the quiz".
Incomplete reading: You must complete the entire book to the end to unlock the book's quiz if it has the legend highlighted in orange.

4. How do I change the app language?

In the mobile app:
1. Go to the top in the Menu option (icon with three horizontal lines)
2. Select the Settings option (gear icon)
3. Look for the Language option
4. Select Español or English and confirm the selection.
5. The app will restart automatically to apply the language change

In the web version:
1. Look for the language selector in the top menu
2. Select your preferred language in the dropdown menu.

Important: Change the language before you start reading if you need it to count for a specific reading goal.

5. The app crashes or doesn't work properly

Solutions:
1. Update the app to the latest version from the Play Store for Android and the App Store for iOS.
2. Restart your device
3. Reinstall the app:
    ● Uninstall Pathbooks
    ● Reinstall it from App Store or Play Store
    ● Log in again
4. Use the web version: If the problem persists, access from your browser at https://web.pathbooks.app/login where you can check your progress and assignments

6. I took a quiz but got a bad grade

● The grade that counts is from the first attempt in reading goals, any other attempt of the quiz will not count for the reading goal.

Tip: Make only ONE click when submitting the quiz and wait, even if it takes a while

7. I can't open a book / The book won't load

Solutions:
1. Verify your internet connection (must be stable)
2. Close and reopen the app
3. If using the web version, refresh the page (F5 or reload)

8. Images don't display / appear blank

1. Verify your internet connection
2. Wait a few seconds, some images take time to load
3. If the problem persists, try from the web version

9. Can I read without internet?

Yes, you can download books in the mobile app to read them without connection.

IMPORTANT:
● When you finish reading without internet, you must open the app with connection so your progress can sync
● If you don't sync, your readings will NOT appear in your profile or reading goals

10. Where can I access Pathbooks?

Mobile app: Download from App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
Web version: https://web.pathbooks.app/
● Both versions work with the same usernames and passwords

11. I forgot my password

Contact your teacher or school coordinator. They can help you recover or reset your password.

12. Why don't some books have audio?

Not all books have the audiobook feature in both languages. We are constantly working to add more content with audio.
